GREMLINS 3 (2025)

In “Gremlins 3” (2025), the story picks up several decades after the events of the previous films. Billy Peltzer, now a middle-aged man, has moved to a small town in search of a quieter life. However, he soon discovers that his past isn’t far behind when Gizmo, the lovable Mogwai, is delivered to his doorstep by a mysterious stranger. Despite Billy’s initial joy at being reunited with his old friend, he is wary of the dangers that Gizmo’s presence brings.

As expected, Gizmo’s arrival coincides with a series of strange occurrences in the town. Unbeknownst to Billy, a secret government organization has been experimenting with Mogwai DNA, attempting to harness their unique abilities. These experiments lead to the creation of new, more dangerous Gremlins. When these enhanced Gremlins escape from the lab, they wreak havoc on the town, causing chaos and destruction at every turn. Billy, along with his teenage daughter, Maggie, must figure out how to stop the rampaging creatures.

The town’s residents initially dismiss the warnings about the Gremlins as mere superstition, but they quickly realize the threat is very real. Billy and Maggie, armed with their knowledge of the Gremlins’ weaknesses, rally a group of townsfolk to fight back. The new Gremlins prove to be more cunning and resilient than their predecessors, leading to several intense and harrowing encounters. The film maintains a balance of horror and dark comedy, with plenty of nods to the original movies.

In the climactic final showdown, Billy and Maggie devise a plan to lure the Gremlins to the town’s abandoned factory, where they use an improvised water and electricity trap to eradicate the creatures. As the dust settles, Billy reflects on the recurring nightmare of the Gremlins and realizes that as long as Mogwai exist, the threat will never truly be gone. The film ends on a bittersweet note, with Gizmo and Billy sharing a heartfelt goodbye before Gizmo leaves to find a safer home, ensuring the cycle of chaos doesn’t continue.
